Introducing The Affordable Warmth ECO Scheme
Here at KP Evans & Co Ltd, we like to keep our customers up to date with the latest developments in our industry. With that in mind, the government recently announced they are introducing a new scheme that is designed to reduce energy consumption throughout the UK.
The Affordable Warmth Energy Company Obligation Scheme aims to reduce energy consumption by providing free boilers and installation to qualifying homeowners and private rental landlords. Run by Toriga, the ECO could affect a number of properties throughout the Essex and South East Regions.
What is Energy Company Obligation Scheme?
What this government scheme is looking to do is support those who may be living in fuel poverty by funding the installation of a number of energy efficient improvements. Funded by energy suppliers, they will determine how much support they will provide for each consumer taking into account a thorough assessment of proposed Green Deal funding.
Am I Eligible?
If you are a home owner or a tenant of a private property, you may be eligible depending on a number of variables. This constitutes any benefits you may already receive and depending on the number you receive may determine your eligibility to the scheme.
What Would I Be Entitled To?
You could be entitled to a new specified boiler. These highly efficient combination boilers come with a number of features including SEDBUK band ‘A’ fuel efficiency ratings, 2 year parts and labour warranty as well as frost protection and a user-friendly control panel.
